Frequently asked questions
How do I pay?
By e-transfer to info@normbenntraining.ca. Credit card payments can be arranged through our office and carry a 3% processing fee. If your employer is paying, tick “Company will pay — please invoice” on the registration form.
Can my company register several people?
Yes. Use the registration form once per participant, or call us to arrange a group booking or on-site training.
Can I take the Safety Seminar online?
Yes — the EDM-T Safety Seminar runs live online as well as in person. Online participants must register at least one week before the course so the module training guide can be shipped, need good internet, and must stay on camera for the whole course.
Which books do I need for the F course?
See the list of mandatory materials on the EDM-F course page. You will be shown how to navigate these books, because many exam answers come from them.
When do I receive my certificate?
Certificates are released to successful participants once tuition is paid in full.
How do I get my EDM-T (Mechanic-in-Training) certificate?
TSSA’s process has two steps: complete the 24-hour safety training with a TSSA-accredited provider, such as our Safety Seminar, then apply through the TSSA Client Portal with your certificate of completion and payment. TSSA notes that you may not work in the industry before you hold an EDM-T.
How often do I need continuing education?
TSSA requires at least 12 hours of continuing education from an accredited provider every two years, uploaded through the TSSA Client Portal before your certificate expires.
Where are you located?
